Please find information below regarding a range of activities and resources on offer alongside this exciting production.

Option 1:  Style & Form
A two hour workshop exploring the style and form of Dundee Rep Theatre’s production. Relating the performance back to epic theatre and exploring the Brechtian techniques used within the performance. We will look at narration, multi-roling, audience interaction, direct address and the use of song and dance within Cheviot.

Option 2: Creating Politically Engaged Theatre
Cheviot tells a story of injustice, of the unfair and unequal distribution of power. The story is as relevant now as it was in 1973, or during the clearances themselves. It engages us politically as an audience and this two hour workshop will explore why that is important and how we can create politically engaged theatre now, in 2016. By further exploring Cheviot we will investigate what is important to us politically and how we can create theatre to highlight this.
